Freelance creative based in Plymouth, UK. This is my personal/behind the scenes blog full of snapshots, shoot previews, promotions and inane ramblings. I only really reblog posts featuring my friends and the odd wishlist item here, I have separate blogs (listed below) for my own work, things I find inspirational and my adventures with Keri Smith's books. Feel free to follow, I follow back on all but 'Scribble Wildly'.

Firstly let me just say a huge thank you to the overwhelming response I’ve had from people interested in being a part of the project! Secondly as you’re all asking pretty similar questions I figured I’d post a blog that hopefully answers them for you :]
What kind of thing do you want?
A huge mixture of things! Anything that is going to look awesome under the UV light essentially. I want to make the project as varied as possible in terms of subject matter, it’s the blacklight that will tie it all together. A lot of blacklight photography centres around just the UV body art and raver styled images and whilst I want to include these in my project I also want to include a lot of other things that you wouldn’t generally associate with the lighting.
Who do you want?
I want all kinds of people to get involved, not just experienced models, with all kinds of looks, styles and ideas! I also want to get people involved who don’t want to be in front of the camera but want to contribute in other ways instead. Artists, hair stylists, make up artists, fashion designers and anyone else who wants to get involved in some way! This is pretty much going to be the biggest project I have ever undertaken and I want to use it as a way to network and collaborate with as many talented people as possible, all of whom will receive credit of course!
Will I get paid?
Unfortunately not as this is a personal project and not a commercial venture. I may look into putting some of the work produced into a book when it is done which those who take feature in would be able to get at cost price. I would not be making profit on it due to the amount of my own money I have been required to invest already and will continue to invest as the project goes on (buying lighting, props, etc.). This is about collaborating and doing something fun and creative, not about making money, sorry guys! I’d love to be able to pay you all if I was rich but that’s not the case at all.
Where will this take place?
I’m based in Plymouth so much of the project will take place here however I am willing to travel for some shoots depending on transport… A blacklight cannon along with my photography equipment isn’t the easiest thing to move around without a car! I visit family in St. Austell, Cornwall regularly so it’s quite possible that I will be arranging a few shoots in that area.
Will I have to sign anything?
People appearing in the photographs will need to sign a standard Model Release form, don’t worry it’s nothing dodgy and you’re not signing me the rights to your soul or anything ;]
Where can I see examples of your photography?
There’s bits and pieces all over the place, here’s a couple of links…
If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask. Those that get asked a lot will be added to this blog entry :]
Email zinzig.photo@gmail.com if you’re interested in taking part or want to book me to do other work, thank you!
